Exclusive: "Ghost Mine," "Tasmanian Devils" Bound for Syfy in January

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Syfy has booked two more projects to help kick off its 2013 lineup: new reality series "Ghost Mine" and the original movie "Tasmanian Devils."
The former, from Mark Cronin's 51 Minds Entertainment, follows a scraggly group of miners as they re-open an abandoned Oregon mine which has a rich history of paranormal activity in the surrounding area. The newcomer will premiere Wednesday, January 16 at 10:00/9:00c following the new season of "Ghost Hunters."
Meanwhile, Danica McKellar, Kenneth Mitchell and Olympic speed skating champion Apolo Ohno star in "Tasmanian Devils" about base jumpers in a remote Tasmanian national park that are pursued by the title creatures - grizzly bear-sized beasts which legend says were created to protect the land from intruders. Vesuvius Productions is behind the film, airing Saturday, January 19 at 9:00/8:00c.
