TV One Announces January 2013 Premieres and Specials
Highlights include the cable channel's newest scripted comedy series "Belle's."

TV ONE ANNOUNCES JANUARY 2013 PREMIERES AND SPECIALS

- Acclaimed Docu-Series Find Our Missing and Unsung Return with New Seasons; Special Encore Episode of Parole Diaries Air with Extended Content; Unsung Pays Tribute to Disco with Two-Hour Special Featuring Gloria Gaynor, The Village People and KC of the Sunshine Band -

December 11, 2012, Silver Spring, MD - TV One announced today its programming line-up for January 2013. Docu-series Find Our Missing and Unsung both return with new seasons, and a special encore episode of Parole Diaries will air with extended commentary from parole officer Denise Jackson. These programs join the previously announced premiere of TV One's newest scripted comedy series Belle's, from legendary Emmy Award-winning producer Ed. Weinberger and veteran comedic actor Miguel Núñez Jr., on Monday, January 21, 2013 (10:00 pm EST).

"Our January line-up continues to offer viewers programming that will pull at their heartstrings make them laugh and stir them into action," said TV One Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Production Toni Judkins. "We are pleased to announce that some of the network's favorite series will be joining Belle's to kick off the New Year."

TV One's January 2013 schedule of premieres and specials is as follows:

· Find Our Missing - Season two premieres Wednesday, January 9 ( 9:00 pm EST) Hosted by award-winning actress S. Epatha Merkerson (Law & Order), the acclaimed docu-drama works with the Black and Missing Foundation, Inc. (BAMFI) to put names and faces to people of color who have disappeared without a trace. Stories profiled this season include that of a Hunter College student last seen leaving New York's Port Authority, a 19-year-old in Syracuse who disappeared after attending a high school basketball game, and the disappearance of Terrance Deon Williams of Naples, FL, who is the second man to go missing after an encounter with the local Sheriff Deputy. Tyler Perry and Rev. Al Sharpton are featured in the episode as part of the effort to bring national attention to the Williams' case. The critically acclaimed series is produced by Towers Productions for TV One.

· Unsung - Season six premieres Monday, January 21 (9:00 pm EST) The award-winning docu-series celebrates the lives and careers of successful artists or groups, who, despite great talent have been under-recognized over the years. The featured artists have contributed significantly to popular culture and have compelling life stories, the details of which have largely remained untold. Artists whose praises Unsung will sing this season include Isaac Hayes, Midnight Star, EPMD, Lou Rawls, Eddie Kendricks, The Whispers, Mint Condition, Johnny Gill. And, in a ground-breaking two hour special on Disco, Unsung tells the definitive tale of an American phenomenon, featuring two dozen musical performances, and commentary by legendary Disco survivors Gloria Gaynor, Nile Rodgers, Thelma Houston, The Village People, KC of the Sunshine Band, and many more. A. Smith & Co. produces Unsung for TV One.

· Belle's - Series premieres Monday, January 21 (10:00 pm EST) TV One's newest scripted comedy centers around widower William "Big Bill" Cooper who owns and operates his family's upscale soul food restaurant and stars Emmy(R) Award-winning actor Keith David (The Cape, Crash), Elise Neal (All of Us, The Hughley's), Tami Roman (Vh-1's Basketball Wives), Ella Joyce (Roc) and Miguel Núñez (Juwanna Mann), and introduces young actress Nadja Alaya. The half-hour series is co-created and executive produced by legendary Emmy(R) Award-winning producer Ed. Weinberger (Taxi, The Cosby Show) and Belle's co-star Miguel Núñez. Additional executive producers include Oscar Turner for Gallery Road Productions and Jubba Seyyid for TV One.

· Parole Diaries - Encore episode "Parole Diaries: Denise Says" airs Friday, January 25 (8:00 pm EST) Indianapolis' top parole officers are back for more with a special encore episode of Parole Diaries, the docu-series that offers an unwavering look at the uncelebrated and gritty corner of the criminal justice system. Parole Officer Denise Jackson, the standout personality of the series, offers exclusive commentary and insight during the two-hour special, including little known facts about the job and behind-the-scenes production details. Parole Diaries is produced by Towers Productions for TV One.
