MTV Premieres Weekly Late Night Comedy Series "Nikki & Sara Live" Hosted by Comedians Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer Beginning Tuesday Nights on January 29 at 11PM ET/PT

MTV PREMIERES WEEKLY LATE NIGHT COMEDY SERIES "NIKKI & SARA LIVE" HOSTED BY COMEDIANS NIKKI GLASER AND SARA SCHAEFER BEGINNING TUESDAY NIGHTS ON JANUARY 29 AT 11PM ET/PT

New York, NY (December 13, 2012) - MTV today announced that it will debut a new, weekly LIVE late night comedy series, "Nikki & Sara LIVE," on Tuesday, January 29 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. Set in front of a live studio audience, critically acclaimed comedians Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer will host the weekly half-hour comedy show from MTV's iconic Times Square Studio. Based on their successful podcast "You Had to Be There," "Nikki & Sara LIVE" will feature their signature wit, fast-paced humor, celebrity interviews, and man on the street pieces that highlight their comedic take on the latest stories and trends in pop culture, entertainment, music and more.

"None of this seems real yet to me; my dream of being on MTV died the day I turned 25 and was no longer eligible for "The Real World," says Nikki Glaser. "My dream of being a late night host died the day I was born a woman. It is nice to beat the odds."

"We want the show to feel like a party with your friends. But with 97% less barfing and 100% more Channing Tatum," says Sara Schaefer.

Nikki Glaser first gained notoriety during season four of Last Comic Standing when she advanced to the semifinals while still attending college. Since then, Nikki has performed stand up on Conan and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Her TV/film credits include appearances in the film Punching the Clown, the comedy documentary I Am Comic, and Amy Schumer's pilot for Comedy Central. Nikki now headlines clubs and colleges, has been invited to the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in 2007, 2011, and 2012. She can be seen performing regularly at The Comedy Cellar in New York and other venues around the country.

Sara Schaefer is a renowned stand-up comedian, writer, and producer based in New York City. She won two Emmy awards for her work on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, was named one of Comedy Central's Comics to Watch in 2010. Sara has written for BestWeekEver.tv and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. She has appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Best Week Ever, E!, Fuse, and AOL.
