LOS ANGELES, July 24, 2013 - In recognition of their impressive haul of Emmy(R) Award nominations, this August FX will air marathons of its acclaimed miniseries American Horror Story: Asylum and season 3 of Louie.

American Horror Story: Asylum earned the most nominations of any program this year with 17. Major nominations for Asylum include Outstanding Miniseries or a Movie, Jessica Lange for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie, Sarah Paulson for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie, James Cromwell for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie, and Zachary Quinto for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie. FX will broadcast the entire miniseries over two nights: Chapters 1-7 on Friday, August 23 from 10:00pm ET/PT - 5:00am ET/PT and Chapters 8-13 on Saturday, August 24 from 11:00pm ET/PT to 5:00am ET/PT.

The first basic cable series ever to be nominated for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Comedy Series, Louie has cemented its place in television history. Described by critics as hilariously funny, poignant and charmingly dark, the show has also secured its place in the hearts of viewers. The series scored six total nominations, including nods for Louis C.K. for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. Melissa Leo was also nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. FX will broadcast all 13 episodes of Louie's third and most recent season on Saturday, August 17 from 10:30pm ET/PT - 5:00am ET/PT.

FX's 26 nominations tied for the most nominations by a basic cable network this year and matches its previous high total in a single year (2012). Below is the complete list of nominations.
