BIG TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, FL (Comedy Central, New!) - Alex Anfanger and Dan Schimpf ("Next Time on Lonny") have snagged a pilot order from the cable channel for a new comedy about "two delusional brothers (one played by Anfanger), who are self-proclaimed filmmakers, as they are kicked out of their parents' house and end up on an epic cinematic journey." Kathy Baker and Stephen Tobolowsky have already been cast as the parents in the project, which is set up at Red Hour Films. The company's Ben Stiller, Debbie Liebling, Stuart Cornfeld and Mike Rosenstein then are executive producing alongside Brillstein Entertainment Partners' Brian Stern and Lee Kernis. (Deadline.com)
BIGFOOT (FX/FX Productions; W: Matt McKenna; D: TBA) - Seth Rogen's animated take on Graham Roumieu's faux Bigfoot autobiography graphic novels have been ordered to pilot by the cable channel. Matt McKenna penned the half-hour, which tracks "everyone's favorite crypto-zoological hominid as a modern-day everyman who struggles with life's philosophical quandaries as well as his own animalistic tendencies." Roumieu, Point Grey Pictures' Rogen and Evan Goldberg; Mosaic's Jimmy Miller and Sam Hansen; and Floyd County Productions' Adam Reed and Matt Thompson are all executive producing. (Deadline.com)
EVERY OTHER SATURDAY (ABC, New!) - British writer Neil Forsyth has sold a single-camera comedy to the Alphabet about "a good-hearted yet multiply flawed father trying to win over his son after a divorce, despite only having custody every other Saturday." Jon Pollack ("Go On") is supervising the half-hour, which is set up at Universal Television with Amblin Television's Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
HOME (FOX, New!) - Aron Eli Coleite ("The River") has received a put pilot commitment from the network for a new drama billed as "a family thriller/soap that delves into the secrets lingering behind the facade of a suburban family." Said hour is set up at the Warner Bros. Television-based Jerry Bruckheimer Television with Coleite, Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman executive producing and KristieAnne Reed serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
A MOODY CHRISTMAS (FOX, New!) - Doug Ellin ("Entourage") is looking to import the Australian series of the same name about "a young man who was smart enough to leave his family behind and dumb enough to come back again." The network has given a put pilot commitment to the project, which is set up at CBS Television Studios. Trent O'Donnell and Phil Lloyd, creators of the original series, will write and executive produce the single-camera comedy alongside Ellin, The Tannenbaum Co.'s Eric and Kim Tannenbaum; and Jungleboys's Jason Burrows. PAROLED (FOX, New!) - Andrea Abbate ("Accidentally on Purpose") has likewise scored a put pilot commitment from the network for a new comedy described as "a male 'Laverne and Shirley' on parole." 20th Century Fox Television-based 21 Laps/Adelstein Productions is behind the half-hour with Marty Adelstein, Shawn Levy and Becky Clements also among the executive producers. UNTITLED MATT WITTEN PROJECT (The CW, New!) - Matt Witten ("The Glades") has sold a new "Fame"-esque drama to the netlet that takes place at a Los Angeles-area performing arts school.
