Disney XD's New Live-Action Comedy Series "Mighty Med" Starring Popular Disney Channel Stars Bradley Steven Perry and Jake Short Premieres Monday, October 7

DISNEY XD'S NEW LIVE-ACTION COMEDY SERIES "MIGHTY MED" STARRING POPULAR DISNEY CHANNEL STARS BRADLEY STEVEN PERRY AND JAKE SHORT PREMIERES MONDAY, OCTOBER 7

Disney XD's "Mighty Med," a new live-action comedy series starring popular Disney Channel stars Bradley Steven Perry ("Good Luck Charlie") and Jake Short ("A.N.T. Farm"), premieres as a special one-hour event MONDAY, OCTOBER 7 (8:30-9:30 p.m., ET/PT).

"Mighty Med" chronicles the adventures of two teenage best friends Kaz (played by Perry) and Oliver (played by Short) who land after school jobs of a lifetime at Mighty Med, a secret hospital for superheroes, sci-fi and fantasy characters. There, they discover that their favorite characters are real and secretly live among them. Without powers of their own and known as "Normos," these two seemingly ordinary boys must learn to navigate their way through two colliding worlds, with the help of superhero Skylar Storm and the Chief of Staff's meddling nephew Alan Diaz. The boys' friendship and vast knowledge of superheroes, sci-fi and fantasy worlds give them the extraordinary power to become heroes themselves and save the people who save people.

Also starring are newcomer Paris Berelc as Skylar Storm and Devan Leos ("Madea's Witness Protection") as Alan. Recurring are identical twins Jason and Randy Sklar ("ESPN's Cheap Seats: Without Ron Parker") as Clyde and Wallace, respectively, and Carlos Lacamara ("The Brothers Garcia") as Horace.

The series was created by Emmy Award-nominee Jim Bernstein (Disney's "Phineas and Ferb") and Andy Schwartz ("Scrubs"). Emmy Award-nominee Stephen Engel (Disney Channel's "A.N.T. Farm," "The Big Bang Theory") and Bernstein serve as executive producers and Schwartz serves as supervising producer.

DisneyXD.com/MightyMed launches a new game, "Heroic Healers," allowing players to help Kaz and Oliver contend with troublesome ailments while trying to heal superheroes arriving to Mighty Med.

Monday, September 30

Premiere episode "Saving the People Who Save People, Part 1" will be available on WATCH Disney XD for verified users online and on smart phones and tablets and Disney XD On Demand via several affiliates.

Saturday, October 5

Perry and Short host the nightly programming lineup on Disney Channel and give viewers a "Mighty Med VIP Preview" featuring sneak peeks and highlights of the new series.

Monday, October 7

(8:30 p.m., ET/PT) - "Mighty Med" Series Premiere

In the premiere episode "Saving the People Who Save People, Part 1 and Part 2" Kaz and Oliver discover a doorway leading to top-secret hospital Mighty Med where they realize that all their favorite superhero, sci-fi and fantasy characters are real. There, they meet Skylar Storm, a superhero who recently lost her powers, Horace Diaz, the hospital's Chief of Staff, and his meddling nephew with telekinesis powers, Alan Diaz. When Kaz's all-time favorite superhero Tecton is rushed into the hospital, the boys must find a way to save Tecton before his nemesis Megahertz finds him first.

Tuesday, October 8

"Mighty Med" premiere episode "Saving the People Who Save People, Part 1 and Part 2" is available on WATCH Disney XD for verified users online and on smart phones and tablets, Disney XD on Demand via several affiliates and Disney XD Mobile VOD; along with iTunes, Amazon Instant Video Store and Microsoft Xbox Live.
