HOT FROM FOX...

"NOMINATE AN IDOL" IS BACK FOR "AMERICAN IDOL XIII"

Audition Initiative Returns Today at www.americanidol.com

On a quest to find the next singing superstar, AMERICAN IDOL XIII is once again expanding the audition opportunities by bringing back the "Nominate An Idol" program to look for talented singers who may not audition on their own. Family and friends may nominate individuals whom they think could be the next AMERICAN IDOL at www.americanidol.com, from now through Friday, Sept. 20.

Individuals can secretly nominate their friends or family by submitting the appropriate forms and video or URL of their "nominee" singing solo and a cappella. Chosen candidates may be surprised on location by a film crew and given the chance to advance to the next round of auditions. Submissions and nominations must comply with all rules and meet all eligibility requirements and be a surprise. To nominate someone, family and friends must read and agree to the terms and conditions. Please keep checking www.americanidol.com for submission rules and terms and conditions.

Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, and featuring judges Harry Connick, Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban, along with in-house mentor Randy Jackson, AMERICAN IDOL XIII debuts in January 2014 on FOX.

IDOL's impact on the entertainment industry resonates beyond the scope of television. The series has brought generations together with a common goal: to discover the next music superstar. Over the past 12 seasons, IDOL finalists have released more than 200 albums, scored 400 No.1 Billboard hits, garnered more than 250 million iTunes downloads and have been certified with 95 Gold and 83 Platinum records. IDOL contestants have conquered Broadway, television and film, and have won numerous awards and accolades, including American Country Music Awards, Country Music Awards, Grammy Awards and an Academy Award.

AMERICAN IDOL XIII is produced by 19 Entertainment, a division of CORE Media Group, and FremantleMedia North America. The series is created and executive-produced by Simon Fuller, CEO, XIX Entertainment. Cecile Frot-Coutaz for FremantleMedia; Trish Kinane and Per Blankens for FremantleMedia North America; and Evan Prager and Jesse Ignjatovic for 19 Entertainment, serve as executive producers.
