EMMY(R) NOMINEES KELLIE MARTIN AND CAMERON MATHISON EMBRACE THE JOYS OF THE SEASON IN "THE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT," A HALLMARK CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE WORLD PREMIERE NOVEMBER 16

Part of Hallmark Channel's COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS the #1 Most Treasured Holiday Destination by Television Viewers!

Emmy(R) nominee Kellie Martin stars as a widow who hopes to find happiness during the holiday season with the help of a new romantic interest in the World Premiere of "The Christmas Ornament," a Hallmark Channel Original Movie premiering Saturday, November 16 at 8pm ET/PT, 7C. Along with Martin, Emmy(R) nominee Cameron Mathison ("One Life to Live," "See Jane Date"), Jewel Staite ("The Killing," "The LA Complex") and Brendan Meyer ("Cedar Cove," "Mr. Young") star in this heartfelt seasonal film, part of Hallmark Channel's "Countdown to Christmas," the #1 most treasured holiday destination by television viewers.

Newly widowed Kathy (Martin) plans to skip out on decking the halls and trimming the tree this Christmas, trying to avoid anything that will bring back memories of her late husband. The only Christmas tradition she will observe is baking cookies for her friends, a passion since she was a child. When Kathy meets handsome Christmas tree shop owner Tim (Mathison), though, their undeniable chemistry - along with an ornament Tim gives her that symbolizes hope - helps Kathy open up to the joys of the season again. With the support of her best friend Jenna (Staite), and the budding relationship with Tim, Kathy begins to embrace the hopeful message of the ornament, eventually hanging it - along with many others - on her Christmas tree. She even considers selling the bike business her late husband started to pursue her passion for baking full time, selling her popular Christmas cookies at the Christmas tree lot gift shop that Tim and his nephew Connor (Meyer) manage.

Although Kathy wants to take a chance on both Tim and her baking passion, she still fears getting hurt and struggles to find the balance between preserving the memory of her husband and moving on with her own future. With Christmas approaching, Kathy must decide if the Christmas ornament is, indeed, a sign that she can have a hopeful future with Tim.

"The Christmas Ornament" is a Front Street Pictures Production in association with Ornamental Productions Ltd. Libby Beers and Chris Rudolph are the executive producers. Harvey Kahn is the producer. Mark Jean directed from a teleplay written by Bill Wells and J.B. White. Story by Bill Wells.
