ABC'S "THE VIEW" TO BROADCAST LIVE FROM THE DISNEYLAND RESORT, NOVEMBER 18-22

Jimmy Kimmel is the Lead Guest, Monday, November 18

ABC's "The View" will broadcast live from the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California NOVEMBER 18-22. The announcement was made live this morning on "The View" by moderator Whoopi Goldberg and hosts Sherri Shepherd, Jenny McCarthy and the show's creator Barbara Walters. Mickey Mouse walked on-stage to thunderous applause and cheers from the audience as he handed the hosts a special piece of "Mickey Mail" containing the official news decreeing the week of shows, "'The View' from Disneyland Resort." This trip magically coincides with Mickey Mouse's birthday on Nov. 18.

This marks the first time "The View" will broadcast live from the Disneyland Resort. In March, 2009 the show broadcast live for one week from The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, CA.

Jimmy Kimmel, host of ABC's hit late-night talk show, "Jimmy Kimmel Live," is confirmed as the show's premiere guest. Additional celebrities and segments will be announced in the coming weeks.

"Disneyland is going to give us plenty to talk about on 'The View,'" said executive producer Bill Geddie. "A mad tea party, a flying elephant and Space Mountain sound like perfect hot topics to me."

"We're thrilled to welcome 'The View' and their fans to the Disneyland Resort, and we can't wait to see how they show off their 'Disney side,'" said Michael Colglazier, President, Disneyland Resort. "What better way to showcase the magic and energy of the 'Happiest Place on Earth,' than through a live broadcast of one of America's favorite daytime TV shows."
