Lifetime Cancels "The Client List" After Two Seasons

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- After months of speculation, Lifetime has passed on a third season of its Jennifer Love Hewitt-led drama "The Client List."
As first reported by Deadline.com, said development is "a mutual decision" between the network and producer Sony Pictures Television following "a creative standoff with star Hewitt over storylines for a potential third season."
"Client List" is the number three scripted draw to date this year for the cable channel and number two among adults 18-49. Here's a recap of Lifetime's averages for said efforts in 2013:
2.531 million - "Devious Maids" (1.129 million adults 18-49)
2.483 million - "Army Wives" (987,000 adults 18-49)
2.082 million - "The Client List" (1.006 million adults 18-49)
2.008 million - "Drop Dead Diva" (808,000 adults 18-49)
1.844 million - "Witches of East End" (924,000 adults 18-49)
