11 Teams Appearing on ESPN for the First Time

12 Games Across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU Begin Dec. 5

The 2013-14 GEICO ESPN High School Basketball Showcase will feature 12 games across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU beginning Thursday, Dec. 5, will highlight 42 players ranked in the ESPN 100 ('14), 60 ('15) and 25 ('16), including nine of the top 10 recruits in the country. Topping the list: No. 1 Jahlil Okafor, No. 2 Myles Turner, No. 3 Cliff Alexander, No. 4 Tyus Jones, No. 5 Emmanuel Mudiay, No. 7 Trey Lyles, No. 8 Justin Jackson, No. 9 Stanley Johnson, No. 10 Kelly Oubre.

Eleven of the 21 teams scheduled will be playing on an ESPN network for the first time:

· Homeschool Christian Youth (Texas)

· Trinity High School (Texas)

· Apple Valley High School (Minn.)

· Arsenal Technical High School (Ind.)

· Villa Angela-St. Joseph (Ohio)

· Oak Ridge High School (Fla.)

· Wesleyan Christian (N.C.)

· Curie (Ill.)

· Sunrise Christian Academy (Kan.)

· White Station High School (Tenn.)

· Hamilton High School (Tenn.)

The schedule tips off on ESPNU with a Texas matchup of Homeschool Christian Youth Association (Houston) with No. 8 Jackson vs. Trinity High School (Euless) with No. 2 Turner. Other top recruits will face off including:

· Whitney Young High School (Ill.) vs. Apple Valley High School (Minn.) with No. 1 Okafor and No. 4 Jones

· Montverde Academy (Fla.) vs. Curie High School (Ill.) with No. 12 D'Angelo Russell, No. 4 Ben Simmons ('15) and No. 3 Alexander

· Whitney Young vs. Prime Prep Academy (Texas) with No. 1 Okafor and No. 5 Mudiay

The 12-game slate features eight teams ranked in final USA Today High School Boys Basketball Super 25 including: No. 1 Montverde Academy (Fla.), No. 3 Findlay Prep (Nev.), No. 6 Prime Prep (Texas), No 7 Huntington Prep (W.V.), No. 8 Mater Dei (Calif.), No. 10 Whitney Young (Ill.), No. 15 Bishop Gorman (Nev.), No. 23 Oak Hill (Va.).
