INTO THIN AIR (ABC Family, New!) - Lizzy Weiss ("Switched at Birth") is developing a new project at the cable channel billed as "a high-concept family drama with thriller elements." No other details were given about the hour which Weiss will executive produce alongside Paul Stupin. (THR.com)
UNTITLED JERROD CARMICHAEL PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Comedian Jerrod Carmichael ("The Goodwin Games") has scored a presentation order from the Peacock for a new semi-autobiographical comedy about "a consummate optimist (Carmichael) who is eager to take on the world, but is too busy taking on everyone and everything in his small corner of it." Scott Ellis is on board to helm the project with Mike Pennie and Ravi Nandan executive producing, presumably alongside Carmichael. Production is set to begin next week. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Entertainment One and Atmosphere Entertainment are developing "King David," a drama about the legendary warrior-king and patriarch from Patrick Moss and Jeremy Anderson (Deadline.com); Dann Florek is departing "Law & Order: SVU" after 15 seasons (@warrenleightTV); Patrick J. Adams will guest on "Orphan Black" as "a brave but regular guy [who] lands in a ton of trouble when the clone characters played by Tatiana Maslany enter his life" (Deadline.com); "Low Winter Sun" showrunner Chris Mundy has inked an overall deal with AMC (Deadline.com); Twentieth Television has renewed "Divorce Court" for the 2014-15 season, its 16th to date (Deadline.com); Emily Rios and Matthew Lillard will be upped to series regulars on the second season of "The Bridge" (Deadline.com);
