LOS ANGELES, CA (April 2 2026) - Sarah Drew (Mistletoe Murders, Grey's Anatomy) and Eric Johnson (Vikings, Fifty Shades franchise) have signed on to star in the original movie, When I Said I Do (wt), inspired by country music legend Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black's duet of the same name. Executive produced by the Blacks who will also appear in the film, When I Said I Do (wt), is the latest collaboration for Lifetime and music icons whose songs have been adapted to screen. The movie is set to premiere Saturday, May 23 at 8/7C as part of the network's upcoming spring Love of a Lifetime original movie slate that delivers elevated romance grounded in emotional, authentic storytelling, connecting with audiences through stories of second chances and enduring love. Additional slate titles and airdates will be announced shortly.
The film follows Ali Corley (Sarah Drew), a widowed search-and-rescue K-9 handler who has rebuilt her life after losing her husband in the line of duty. Devoted to her family and her high-risk career, she's reluctant to open her heart again - until she meets Shawn Willis (Eric Johnson), a quiet, steadfast rescue specialist with a past of his own. As their connection deepens into something real and healing, they are forced to confront grief and fear - and discover whether they have the courage to choose love again.
When I Said I Do (wt) is executive produced by Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black and inspired by their iconic duet of the same name. Written by Clint Black, the ACM Award-winning hit spent multiple weeks at #1 on Billboard's Hot Country chart and reached #31 on the Billboard Hot 100, cementing its enduring cultural impact. In addition to serving as executive producers, Black and Hartman Black also appear as themselves, hosting a relationship podcast that plays a meaningful role in shaping the characters' emotional journey.

In Calendar 2026 to-date, Lifetime Original Movie premieres are up +17% in Total Viewers.
When I Said I Do (wt) is produced by Caitlin Delaney of Magic Motion Media in association with ITV America Nashville and Happy Accidents. Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black serve as executive producers, alongside Adam Reed for ITV America and Holly Hines and Eric Jarboe for Happy Accidents. Stefan Brogren directs from a screenplay by Bart Baker.
Supervising producers include Michael Shepard, Justin Kelly and Pino Halili, with Kathy Ceroni and Laurie Singleton serving as associate producers.
