AMERICAN DREAM (WGN America, New!) - Wayne Beach (Slow Burn) is developing a new drama at the network which "chronicles the cat-and-mouse game that erupts when a Manhattan homicide cop suspects one of America's top CEOs of being a killer." Sony Pictures Television is behind the hour with the studio-based David Shore executive producing alongside Rick Berg. Beach will serve as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)

AMERICAN STORAGE (IFC; W: Andrew Jay Cohen & Brendan O'Brien; D: Andrew Jay Cohen) - Rob Huebel ("Childrens Hospital") and newcomer John Karna have snagged the lead roles on the comedy pilot, about the unlikely friendship between a storage facility employee and a man who takes up residence in one of the empty units. They'll succeed Steve Carell and David Krumholtz from the original short film that spawned the series. Troy Miller of Dakota Pictures also serves as an executive producer. (Deadline.com)

THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER (FX, New!) - Kurt Sutter ("Sons of Anarchy") has scored a pilot order from the cable channel for a period drama about "a warrior knight in King Edward III's charge who is broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword. But when that violence finds him again he is forced to pick up the bloodiest sword of all." Said effort comes from FX Productions and Fox 21 with Imagine Television's Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo also on board to executive produce. Filming of the pilot is slated to begin late next year after "Anarchy" wraps its upcoming seventh and final season. (Deadline.com)
