MIAMI, January 7, 2014 -- The Ninth Annual South Beach Comedy Festival has just announced its new dates for 2014. Looking to continue its laugh-filled tradition of bringing the best comedy entertainment to South Florida, this year's event will run from Tuesday, April 1st to Saturday, April 5th and includes an appearance by the exciting and hilarious Chelsea Handler. A full line-up of performers will be announced shortly.

COMEDY CENTRAL returns as the national media partner and Live Nation as the sole producers of the Festival handling all marketing, PR, talent booking and production. The Festival also welcomes back sponsors Taco Bell(R) and The Miami Beach Visitors and Convention Authority for their ninth consecutive year and welcomes its newest partner Bacardi as the exclusive spirits sponsor.

Each year the Festival features some of the top acts in the Comedy World as well as a host of up and coming stars and this year will be no exception. As one of the most exciting and successful figures in the entertainment industry, Chelsea Handler has created a multiplatform media empire as a bestselling author, talk show host, stand-up comedian, and an actress. This self-made media mogul is a cultural phenomenon, matched only by her comedic talents.
