Primetime Special to Air on Friday, January 10 at 8pm/7c

NEW YORK - January 8, 2014 - In anticipation of the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards, Matt Lauer will host a star-studded primetime special "Going for Gold," featuring interviews with some of Hollywood's brightest stars and 2014 Golden Globe nominees including Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt and the cast of 12 Years a Slave, Bryan Cranston, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Idris Elba, Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac and many more. "Going for Gold," an NBC News production, airs Friday, January 10 at 8pm/7c.

Golden Globe nominees Bradley Cooper and film director David O. Russell sit down with Willie Geist to talk about their film, American Hustle. Cooper is nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Russell is nominated for Best Director. American Hustle is nominated for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy.

The cast of 12 Years a Slave, including Brad Pitt, Best Actor nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor, Best Supporting Actor nominee Michael Fassbender, Best Supporting Actress nominee Lupita Nyong'o, Alfre Woodard and Best Director nominee Steve McQueen, sit down with Ann Curry to discuss the film. 12 Years a Slave was nominated for Best Motion Picture, Drama.

Bryan Cranston sits down with Billy Bush to talk about his Best Actor nomination for the television series, "Breaking Bad." Double-nominee Julia Louis-Dreyfus, nominated for Best Actress for her television series, Veep and for the film, Enough Said sits down with Harry Smith. Idris Elba, also a 2014 double-nominee, talks to Keith Morrison about his two Best Actor nominations for Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom and Luther.

Plus, Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan and Globe nominee Oscar Isaac, the stars of the triple nominated Coen brothers' film, Inside Llewyn Davis.
