Hallmark Channel announces the World Premiere of "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," the network's highly anticipated new Original Series, debuting Sunday, April 20 (8pm ET/PT, 7C), created and Executive Produced by Martha Williamson, best known as the creative force behind the mega-hit "Touched By An Angel." The time slot represents Hallmark Channel's expansion into Sunday evenings and a coming home for Williamson to the same time period once held by "Touched by an Angel." The series stars Eric Mabius ("Ugly Betty"), Kristin Booth ("The Kennedys"), Crystal Lowe ("Smallville") and Geoff Gustafson ("Primeval: New World"). Special guest-stars announced to-date include Golden Globe(R) and four-time Emmy(R) winning actress Valerie Harper ("Mary Tyler Moore," "Rhoda") and five-time Emmy(R) winner and two-time Golden Globe(R) nominee Dick Van Dyke ("The Dick Van Dyke Show," "Diagnosis Murder"). Both stars will portray Supervisors in a revolving role that will feature television icons through the run of season one.
Hallmark Channel's new original series is a wonderful combination of romance, comedy and drama that follows the lives of four postal detectives who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office and into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow always on time. The team includes charming Oliver O'Toole (Mabius), a genius postal detective and the group's leader; new team member, Shane McInerney (Booth), a technophile who brings 21st century sensibility to the group; free-spirited, "girl next door" Rita Haywith (Lowe) who has a photographic memory; and lovable Norman Dorman (Gustafson), a master in conventional research methods.
"Signed, Sealed, Delivered" is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson ("Touched by an Angel"), Joel S. Rice ("Cyberbully"), Michael Prupas ("The Kennedys") and Scott Smith ("Call Me Fitz"). Harvey Kahn ("The Haunting Hour") is the producer. Muse Distribution International holds the worldwide distribution rights.
