TRAVELCHANNEL.COM ANNOUNCES ITS THIRD ANNUAL "TRAVEL'S BEST: BEACH AWARDS" FOR 2014

CHEVY CHASE, MD (February 19, 2014) - With snow in 49 states last week, many are daydreaming of getaways to somewhere warm. Offering some beachy inspiration, TravelChannel.com names its third annual "Travel's Best: Beach Awards" for 2014.

TravelChannel.com editors enlisted a panel of experts that have collaboratively discussed, debated and determined the best beaches in 10 different categories. The 2014 "Travel's Best: Beach Awards" expert panelists include: Valerie Conners (Founder, passengerconners.com), Tom Marchant (Co-founder, Beach Tomato), Corinne McDermott (Founder, Have Baby Will Travel), Dr. Stephen P. Leatherman (Professor and Director of the Laboratory for Coastal Research at Florida International University and known as "Dr. Beach"), Marianela Pereyra (Travel Channel's resident beach host) and Alison Teal Blehert-Koehn (Founder, Alison's Adventures).

Plus, starting today through March 2, viewers are invited to cast their vote in a TravelChannel.com poll for their best overall beach. The winner will be unveiled on the website on Sunday, March 2 coinciding with Travel Channel's "Best Beach Awards 2014" airing from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET/PT.
