A&E's Hit Docuseries "Beyond Scared Straight" Returns for Season 6 on Friday, February 28 at 10PM ET/PT

A&E'S HIT DOCUSERIES "BEYOND SCARED STRAIGHT" RETURNS FOR SEASON 6 ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28 AT 10PM ET/PT

NEW YORK, NY - FEBRUARY 21, 2014 - A&E's Emmy-nominated docuseries "Beyond Scared Straight" premieres its sixth season on Friday, February 28 at 10PM ET/PT.

Inspired by "Scared Straight!," the Academy Award and multiple Emmy-winning documentary film by Arnold Shapiro, "Beyond Scared Straight" follows at-risk teens who have been in trouble for everything from fighting, theft, drugs to promiscuity, gambling and gang affiliations. They are forced to spend a day (and sometimes a night) in jail, interact with convicted felons and experience the harsh reality of life behind bars.

This season on "Beyond Scared Straight," a teen fighter makes a run for it only to be thrown into a cell with the imposing inmate she was trying to escape; a gang-banger is stunned to meet his own incarcerated brother during the jail tour; a teen starts heading down the right path only to meet a tragic end; and a promiscuous, drug-using teenage girl reveals to an officer that parenthood may be looming.

"Beyond Scared Straight" is produced by Arnold Shapiro Productions for A&E Network. Executive Producers are Arnold Shapiro and Paul J. Coyne. Executive Producer for A&E is Laura Fleury.
