BABYLON FIELDS (NBC/20th; W: Gerald Cuesta & Michael Atkinson; D: Michael Cuesta) - Virginia Madsen, Ritchie Coster and Yul Vazquez have all been cast in the drama pilot, in which the dead are resurrected and try to resume their former lives. Madsen will play Rhonda Wunch, "CDC scientist Thomas Wunch's (Kyle Schmid) mother who is close to her son and wants him to stay home in Babylon." Coster then is set as Ernie Wunch, "Thomas' father and Rhonda's husband, a former cop who most people thought ran away to Daytona"; with Vazquez as Chief of Police Matt Conte. Meagan Good and Skeet Ulrich also star. (Deadline.com)
CLIPSTERS (TBS; W: David Kohan & Max Mutchnick; D: TBA) - David Kohan and Max Mutchnick's comedy - about an eclectic cast of stylists working in a barbershop in the Boston suburb of Worcester, Mass. - has snagged a pilot order from the cable channel. They'll executive produce the multi-camera project for Warner Horizon Television via their KoMut Entertainment banner. (Deadline.com)
GUILT BY ASSOCIATION (TNT; W: Dee Johnson & Marcia Clark; D: Nelson McCormick) - Julia Stiles ("Dexter") has signed on for the lead role on the drama pilot, about Rachel Knight, a gutsy Deputy District Attorney in the Special Trials Unit of the D.A.'s office for L.A. County. She works closely with a tough-as-nails female LAPD detective named Bailey Keller (Elisabeth Rohm) and a stylish female prosecutor named Toni LaCollette (Rose Rollins), both of whom routinely crash at Rachel's place. She'll succeed Neve Campbell, who previously dropped out of negotiations for said role. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED KZK PROJECT (Netflix/Sony; W: Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman & Glenn Kessler; D: Johan Renck) - Norbert Leo Butz ("The Deep End") has snagged a role on the upcoming drama, about a family of adult siblings whose secrets and scars are revealed when their black sheep brother returns home. He'll play youngest brother Kevin, "the extroverted and charming owner of a boat repair yard who considers himself the unofficial mayor of this small coastal town." Ben Mendelsohn, Jacinda Barrett, Jamie McShane, Kyle Chandler, Linda Cardellini and Sissy Spacek also star. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - HBO has passed on its David Milch-penned drama pilot "The Money," starring Brendan Gleeson (Deadline.com); NBC has opted not move forward with its put pilot "Conception," from writer John Glenn and producer David Janollari (Deadline.com); "30 Rock" alums Dylan Morgan and Josh Siegal have inked a two-year overall deal at Universal Television (Deadline.com); Timothy "Timbaland" Mosley have been tapped as a songwriter and song producer on FOX's drama pilot "Empire" (Deadline.com); Jamie Gray Hyder will recur on "Graceland" as "the sexy and formidable Lucia Solano whose brother Carlito (Erik Valdez) runs the cartel stateside" (THR.com); and Leven Rambin is bound for "The Tomorrow People" as "a troublemaking paranormal who has no love for humans" in the final three episodes this season (TVGuide.com).
