COMEDY CENTRAL(R) JUMPS THE SHARK WHEN IT UNLEASHES... "SHART WEEK 2014," A WEEKLONG EXHIBITION OF THE FINEST IN POOP-THEMED PROGRAMMING, BEGINNING SUNDAY, AUGUST 3 AT 8:00 P.M. ET/PT

"Shart Week" to Feature Episodes of "Tosh.0," "Futurama," "South Park," "Workaholics," "Chappelle's Show," "Key & Peele" and More

"@midnight" to feature #ShartWeek-themed #HashtagWars All Week

NEW YORK, July 15, 2014 - A salty, watery, bubbling, slick, slimy something gliding by your leg, followed by a quick thrash and it's all over: you sharted. No need for embarrassment. It happens to everybody, which is why Comedy Central is unleashing "Shart Week 2014" (#ShartWeek), blasting off on Sunday, August 3 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. It's gonna be a gas. After all, there's no more swift - sometimes silent, always deadly - and evolutionarily advanced (mood) killer out there than the shart. It's the apex predator of gastrointestinal mishaps.

The weeklong excrement extravaganza bubbles up on Comedy Central nightly at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT with the most scatological episodes of "Tosh.0," "Futurama," "South Park," "Workaholics," "Chappelle's Show," "Key & Peele" and more, culminating on Saturday, August 9, when the #1 brand in comedy drops an epic #2: an airwaves-clogging 11.5 hour brick of poop-themed programming from 12:30 p.m. ET/PT to Midnight ET/PT. Additionally throughout the week, "@midnight" will feature "Shart Week"-themed #HashtagWars segments.

Throughout Shart Week, fans' best shart-inspired tales and photos will be featured on CC.com, on air, and across Comedy Central's social-media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. Fans can also access the best in Shart Week entertainment on the CC app all week long.
