MORE FAMILIES, MORE FUN! "FAMILY FEUD" RETURNS WITH ALL-NEW SEASON ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2014

Los Angeles, CA - August 28, 2014 - It's time to play the Family Feud! Producer FremantleMedia North America and distributor Debmar-Mercury today announced the hit nationally syndicated game show "Family Feud" - coming off its fourth straight year of growth since the arrival of Steve Harvey as host in September 2010 - will return for a new, side-splitting season on Monday, September 15, 2014 (check local listings).

During the nearly concluded 2013-14 season, "Family Feud" is averaging a 5.0 household rating to date nationally, putting it 9% over a year ago and making it the fourth highest-rated first-run strip. It scored an all-time high mark of 6.3 in late January.

In the key demos of women (2.5) and adults (2.1) ages 25-54, the game show - which tied top-rated "Wheel of Fortune" last season - is up year-to-year by 4% and 5% respectively, and is poised to finish this season as the No. 1 game show and No. 2 first-run daily series in syndication.

In the upcoming season, families from across the U.S. will be joined by Steve Harvey as they compete for the chance to win up to $20,000 by guessing the most popular answers to questions posed to 100 people surveyed. Auditions for the season were held in Chicago, Atlantic City, Tampa, San Diego, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Charleston and Nashville.

ABOUT "FAMILY FEUD":

Since its premiere in 1976, "Family Feud" has remained one of television's most popular and enduring game shows. Featuring two families who compete for cash and cars, contestants try to guess the most popular answers to questions posed to 100 people surveyed. As host, Harvey engages competing family members in hilarious repartee, and his honest reactions to their responses have brought a fresh sense of comedy to the show.

Fans are invited to follow Family Feud on Twitter @FamilyFeud, on YouTube at youtube.com/familyfeud, and on the web at www.familyfeud.com, where they can answer survey questions, find out about upcoming auditions and more.

Taped in front of a live audience from its home in Atlanta, Georgia, "Family Feud" is produced by FremantleMedia North America, and is distributed by Debmar-Mercury. Gaby Johnston and Jennifer Mullin are Executive Producers and Jim Roush is Executive in Charge of Production.
