(Silver Spring, Md.) -Science Channel, the official media sponsor for Manufacturing Day, announced today HOW IT'S MADE WEEK, a special week-long television event that shines the national spotlight on the manufacturing industry with more than 200 episodes of the fan favorite franchise HOW IT'S MADE. Beginning Monday, September 29, HOW IT'S MADE rules Science Channel's airways with round-the-clock episodes that showcase the fascinating, technologically advanced world of manufacturing. The HOW IT'S MADE marathon event culminates on Friday, October 3 following a day-long celebration of Manufacturing Day, an annual event that showcases modern manufacturing technology and careers.
HOW IT'S MADE WEEK will feature several fascinating moments from the series' 12 seasons on the air including:
· The first-ever episode of HOW IT'S MADE on Monday, September 29 at 9 PM ET/PT
· HOW IT'S MADE's 1000th product on Monday, September 29 at 9:30 PM ET/PT
· All-New episodes from season 12 on Monday, September 29 at 10 PM ET/PT, and on Friday, October 3 at 10 and 10:30 PM ET/PT
· All-New episodes of the hit, spin-off series HOW IT'S MADE: DREAM CARS at 10 PM ET/PT on Tuesday, September 30, Wednesday, October 1 and Thursday, October 3
Science Channel is the official media sponsor of Manufacturing Day, a broad-based grassroots effort created to drive public awareness of the American manufacturing industry and manufacturing careers. Also this year, Discovery Communications' 'Discover Your Skills' campaign, a public affairs job skills program, will continue it's partnership with Montgomery College focused on preparing students with the necessary skills to take advantage of available job opportunities. The effort highlights career opportunities in modern-day manufacturing, and the importance of training workers to fill critical jobs in manufacturing, health care, energy, technology, construction and other industries. Manufacturing Day is an opportunity for Montgomery College students to get a sense of modern manufacturing and a real world view of the exciting career paths STEM skills can lead to.
