SYFY GREENLIGHTS NEW SCRIPTED SERIES "HUNTERS" (WORKING TITLE)

NEW YORK - September 24, 2014 - Syfy today announced it is greenlighting a new 13-episode scripted series, Hunters (working title), about an alien terrorist network on Earth, from executive producers Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead, The Terminator Trilogy) and Natalie Chaidez (12 Monkeys, Heroes), who will also be the writer.

Universal Cable Productions will serve as the studio with Valhalla Entertainment as the production company. Hunters is scheduled to premiere on Syfy in 2016.

In Hunters, based on Whitley Strieber's best-selling novel Alien Hunter, the disappearance of a decorated Philadelphia cop's wife leads him to a secret government unit assembled to hunt a group of ruthless terrorists - shadowy figures that may or may not be from this world.

Adding Hunters to new series such as The Expanse, 12 Monkeys, and the miniseries Childhood's End, provides us with a formidable lineup of diverse, high-end science fiction."
