FIRST-RUN HISTORICAL DRAMA "THE PINKERTONS" TV SERIES TO DEBUT WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 4th

Series Based on Legendary Pinkerton's National Detective Agency Stars Angus Macfadyen, Martha MacIsaac and Jacob Blair

LOS ANGELES - September 26, 2014 -THE PINKERTONS TV series, a weekly, one-hour first-run syndicated action-adventure procedural, will debut on stations across the country the weekend of October 4th. (Check local listings for times and stations). Inspired by actual cases from the Pinkerton Archives, THE PINKERTONS TV series tells the story of the Pinkerton's National Detective Agency and its founder Allan Pinkerton.

Set in a wild and young America, THE PINKERTONS TV series stars Angus Macfadyen ("Turn") as Allan Pinkerton, Jacob Blair ("Dark Rising: Warrior of Worlds") as his son William and Martha MacIsaac ("1600 Penn") as Kate Warne, America's first female detective.

Long before the FBI and the Secret Service, the Pinkerton's National Detective Agency was the most feared law enforcement organization in the land. Experts of undercover operative and masters of disguise, no one ever saw them coming. They revolutionized detective work by creating numerous forensic technologies, use of surveillance and undercover work, and are considered the originators of fingerprinting and the mug shot.

The production has collaborated with the modern-day Pinkerton detective agency, who has offered access to their archives.

Producers Rosetta Media, Buffalo Gal Pictures and Alpine Labs recently completed a deal with GroupM Entertainment, on board in a financing and executive consultant role with THE PINKERTONS TV series. GroupM Entertainment creates, finances and distributes intellectual property in partnership with its clients, and is a service of global media investment management operation GroupM, a WPP company. GroupM Entertainment also has a partnership with CHCH in Ontario, who will be the Canadian broadcaster of the series.

CEO of GroupM Entertainment Global, Peter Tortorici, states: "We're excited be a part of this show. Not only is The Pinkertons a fun ride that audiences will love, but it's being produced in a truly innovative way that points to an alternative approach in funding programming - something we're committed to supporting."

Distributed domestically by Rohrs Media Group, THE PINKERTONS TV series has been cleared in 93% of the country on station groups including Tribune, Hearst, LIN, Meredith, Cox, Nexstar, Gray, Weigel and the CW100+. Zodiak Rights is handling international distribution.

THE PINKERTONS TV series was created by Kevin Abrams of Alpine Labs, and Adam Moore, who teamed to write the pilot. Abrams and Moore also serve as executive producers and writers, alongside Canadian showrunners and executive producers Phil Bedard and Larry Lalonde. The series is executive produced by Suzanne Berger of Rosetta Media, and Phyllis Laing of Buffalo Gal Pictures. Amuse Group USA, a subsidiary of a leading Japanese entertainment company Amuse, Inc., is co-financier of the project. Peleton Entertainment's Todd Berger packaged and arranged financing for the series.
