CODES OF CONDUCT (HBO; W: Matthew Michael Carnahan & Steve McQueen; D: Steve McQueen) - Paul Dano (12 Years a Slave) has been cast opposite Devon Terrell in the drama pilot, about Beverly Snow (Terrell), "a young man from Queens as talented as he is ambiguous; his self-confidence will enable him to break into the social circles of Manhattan's elite, testing the boundaries of access and social mobility." Dano plays Jared Rotmensen, "a hip yet altruistic entrepreneur who brings Beverly into his fold." Filming on the pilot starts in New York next week. (Deadline.com)


I LIKE YOU JUST THE WAY I AM (ABC, New!) - Actress Jenny Mollen is looking to bring her best-selling memoir to the small screen. She'll write and star in the Sony Pictures Television-based project, which "chronicles Mollen's impulsive and outrageous life in Los Angeles with pals and fellow actor husband Jason Biggs." Karen Kehela-Sherwood and FanFare Productions' Jamie Tarses will also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)


JUMP START (FOX, New!) - Robb Armstrong's long-running comic strip, about "a Philadelphia cop who finds it harder to serve and protect at home than on the streets," is being developed as a single-camera comedy at the network. Armstrong is co-writing the half-hour alongside Andrew Orenstein ("18 to Life") for 20th Century Fox Television. Amuse Entertainment's Bridget McMeel and Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)


ZOO (CBS/CBSP; W: Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum & Scott Rosenberg; D: Brad Anderson) - Nora Arnezeder (Safe House) has joined the cast of the summer drama, a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans sweeping the planet. She'll play Chloe Tousignant, "a French investigator who meets Oz while she is on an African safari." James Wolk also stars. (Deadline.com)
