LUKE WILSON AND IMOGEN POOTS TO STAR IN THE NEW SHOWTIME(R) ONE-HOUR COMEDY PILOT "ROADIES"

Oscar(R) Nominee Keisha Castle-Hughes, Rafe Spall And Peter Cambor Also Join The Ensemble Cast

NEW YORK, NY - December 8, 2014 - Actors Luke Wilson (Old School, The Royal Tenenbaums) and Imogen Poots (The Look of Love) are set to star in the new SHOWTIME one-hour comedy pilot ROADIES, which follows the day-to-day life of a successful rock tour as seen through the eyes of music's unsung heroes - the crew members who get the show on the road. Academy Award(R) nominee Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider) and actors Rafe Spall (One Day) and Peter Cambor (NCIS: Los Angeles) have also joined the ensemble cast. Luke Wilson will play road-weary, sleep-deprived tour manager "Bill," who is five years sober, and the best friend a band could have on the road. Imogen Poots is "Kelly Ann," a first-rate electrical tech with a great heart, questionable people skills, and a desire to make her mark on the world. Keisha Castle-Hughes will portray the band's outspoken and passionate sound mixer "Donna Mancini," who every day leads her road family in their favorite ritual, "The Song of the Day." Rafe Spall will play Reg Whitehead, a wildly successful British financial advisor sent by management to oversee the crew's budget, though he knows less than zero about the music business. Peter Cambor is "Milo," an offbeat American anglophile guitar tech, not big on personal hygiene, who revels in his road-worthy, slightly skuzzy charm.

ROADIES follows a hot-ticket tour, but with a simple twist: the band is in the background and the roadies take the spotlight. It's an inside look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of characters who live for music and the de facto family they've formed along the way. Oscar winner Cameron Crowe wrote and will direct and executive produce the pilot (for a potential series). Emmy and Tony(R) nominee Winnie Holzman (My So-Called Life, Wicked, Huge), will executive produce and serve as showrunner, along with executive producers Emmy winners J.J. Abrams (Lost, Fringe, Person of Interest) and Bryan Burk (Lost, Fringe, Person of Interest). Kathy Lingg (Person of Interest, Fringe) is co-executive producer. ROADIES is produced by Bad Robot Productions, Vinyl Films and Dooley & Company Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television.

With indelible performances in broad comedies, thoughtful dramas and provocative independent features, Luke Wilson has appeared in countless films including Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, Old School, The Skeleton Twins, Bottle Rocket, The Wendell Baker Story, Blades of Glory, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Idiocracy; 3:10 to Yuma, Death at a Funeral, Henry Poole is Here and the Legally Blonde and Charlie's Angels franchises. He will next be seen in the features Playing It Cool, Dear Eleanor; Ride and Rock Dog. Wilson also co-directed, wrote, and starred in the short film Satellite Beach, which follows the unique journey of the Endeavour space shuttle as it travels through the streets of Los Angeles to the California Science Center, and the final move of the Atlantis Space Shuttle to the Kennedy Space Center. The film won awards at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the High Desert International Film Festival, and the Knoxville Film and Music Festival, and was an official selection at fourteen film festivals. On television, Wilson's credits include co-starring with Laura Dern in the acclaimed series Enlightened; as well as That 70's Show, Entourage and Drunk History.

Imogen Poots' feature film credits include The Look of Love, That Awkward Moment, Jane Eyre, A Late Quartet, Fright Night, A Long Way Down, Filth, Me and Orson Welles, Centurion, Solitary Man, V for Vendetta and 28 Weeks Later. Poots was honored with a British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her work on The Look of Love. She will next be seen in the features She's Funny That Way, Green Room and Terrence Malick's Knight of Cups.

At the age of eleven, Keisha Castle-Hughes became the youngest female ever to be nominated in the Best Actress category in Oscar history when she was honored for her lead role in Whale Rider. The film was nominated for a number of prestigious awards around the globe including Oscar, BAFTA(R), Independent Spirit Awards, and the National Board of Review Award, Screen Actors Guild(R) Awards, AFI(R) Awards, and the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award. Castle-Hughes was also nominated and won a dozen other awards for her lead role in the film including the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award for Best Actress in 2004. Her other film credits include Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith, The Nativity Story, A Heavenly Vintage, Vampire and the upcoming Amos' Wake. On the television side, she has had a recurring role on the long-running series The Almighty Johnsons, and will appear in the fifth season of Game Of Thrones as "Obara Sand."

Rafe Spall was most recently seen on Broadway in the late Mike Nichols' revival of "Betrayal" opposite Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz, which was produced by Scott Rudin. His television credits include the popular comedy Pete Versus Life, and the upcoming mini-series Sons of Liberty. He also starred in The Shadow Line, a six part BBC drama starring Chiwetel Ejiofor and Christopher Eccleston, which won him the Best Supporting Actor award at the Crime Thriller Awards 2011. His feature film credits include Prometheus, One Day, Life of Pi, What If, I Give It A Year, Anonymous, A Good Year, Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. His most recent feature, X+Y, premiered at the 2014 Toronto Film Festival and earned him a British Independent Film Award nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category.

Peter Cambor is best known to television audiences for his series regular role as "Nate Getz" on NCIS: Los Angeles. Cambor made his television debut in Notes from the Underbelly. He earned the role after the show's creator and executive producer saw him in the Los Angeles production of "The Cherry Orchard" with Annette Bening and Alfred Molina. His other television credits include Wedding Band, Madam Secretary, Numb3rs, Trust Me, and Pushing Daisies.
