UNTITLED WENDY MERICLE PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Wendy Mericle ("Arrow") is developing a new drama at the network "set on Coronado Island and revolves around the first group of female U.S. soldiers vying to earn a spot in the world's toughest boy's club: the Navy SEALs." The Warner Bros. Television-based project, inspired by real life events, will also be executive produced by Thunder Road Television's Basil Iwanyk. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Sebastian Roche will visit "Once Upon a Time" as King Stefan, "the father of Aurora (Sarah Bolger), who has a complicated past with Maleficent (Kristin Bauer Van Straten)" (EW.com); and Meg Steedle has joined the cast of "The Mysteries of Laura" as Francesca "Frankie" Pulaski, "a young detective who scored so high on her detective exam that she was initially assigned to headquarters at One Police Plaza - a placement that proved to be underwhelming for her" (TVLine.com).
