One-Hour Blockbuster Special Delights as Whitney
Sings Her Most Electrifying Songs
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 14, 2015) - Lifetime will premiere a major special Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances this Saturday night at 11:00pmET/PT. The exclusive 60-minute event will air shortly after the Lifetime Original Movie Whitney (#Whitney).
Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances is hosted by legendary music man Clive Davis, Whitney Houston's longtime mentor and creative partner, who shares unique reminiscences and personal anecdotes. The special is packed with Whitney's most electrifying performances captured over the course of her spectacular career. Characterized by The New York Times as "atomic" and "a master class," these performances brilliantly showcase one of the greatest voices of all time.
Highlights from the special include Houston's first national television appearance, at the age of 19: "Home" on The Merv Griffin Show in 1983; "Greatest Love of All" and "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)" from 1990's Arista Records 15th Anniversary Concert at Radio City Music Hall; "I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" from the 1994 American Music Awards; and "I Will Always Love You" from The Concert for a New South Africa in 1994, among others.
