ABC FAMILY MAKES ALL OF ITS NEW SERIES AVAILABLE FOR SAMPLING
ON SOCIAL, DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL PLATFORMS AS IT PREPARES TO LAUNCH
ITS SUMMER SEASON STARTING JUNE 2ND
Burbank, CA (May 18, 2015) - ABC Family embarks on a summer sampling strategy beginning today, May 18th. All of the network's new summer series will be available for sampling across digital, social and physical platforms in a phased approach that will roll-out across the summer months. The new series taking part in the sampling strategy are the procedural drama "Stitchers," the unscripted reality drama "Becoming Us," the comedy "Kevin From Work" and the reality series "Job or No Job," "Monica the Medium," "Startup U" and "Next Step Realty: NYC."
The summer sampling strategy will have a multi-tiered approach that will coincide with the series premiere dates.The sampling tactics include exclusive digital premieres on EW.com ("Stitchers"), HRC.org ("Becoming Us"), Facebook ("Kevin From Work") and Tumblr ("Job or No Job," "Next Step Realty," "Monica The Medium" and "Startup U"); screening events with magazines and websites such as Hearst Magazines' TrendingNY, OK! Magazine, and digital media company Refinery29; free preview of full episodes on Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, YouTube, iTunes, Amazon video and Google Play; previews of full episodes on the WATCH ABC Family app, MVPDs and set-top box VODs; as well as on a special ABC Family website www.ABCFbestsummertvever.com, where fans can not only watch the premiere episodes, but also post reviews and share across their social platforms.
"We are eventizing the entire summer and offering a massive sampling campaign to showcase our new shows," said Nigel Cox-Hagan, SVP Marketing, Creative and Branding. "We have recently announced the largest programming slate ever in the history of our network and we want as many people as possible talking about them."
ABC Family's robust summer slate begins in June with "Pretty Little Liars" and "Stitchers" bowing first on Tuesday, June 2nd, followed by "Melissa & Joey" and "Baby Daddy" on Wednesday, June 3rd. "The Fosters" and "Becoming Us" will then premiere on Monday, June 8th. Later this summer the comedy "Kevin From Work" will premiere on Wednesday, August 12th, with the reality series premieres set for "Monica the Medium" on Monday, July 13th, "Job or No Job" on Wednesday, August 5th, "Next Step Realty: NYC" on Tuesday, August 11th and "Startup U" on Tuesday, August 18th.
