PREACHER (AMC/Sony; W: Sam Catlin; D: Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogen) - British actor Tom Brooke is the latest to be cast in the drama pilot, based on the comic book about Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a conflicted Preacher in a small Texas town who merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and develops the ability to make anyone do anything he says. Along with his ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), the three embark on a journey to literally find God. He'll play Fiore, "one of the two Adephi angels sent to Earth to retrieve Genesis." Jamie Anne Allman, Derek Wilson, Elizabeth Perkins, Ian Colletti and Lucy Griffiths also star. (Deadline.com)

2015-16 BROADCAST PILOTS... - ABC is set to recast two roles on newcomer "The Catch," played by Damon Dayoub (Kieran) and Bethany Joy Lenz (Zoe) in the original pilot while "Quantico" likewise will revisit the character of Liam, originated by Dougray Scott (Deadline.com); FOX has formally passed on its comedy pilot "48 Hours 'Til Monday" and its drama effort "Studio City" while the network may take a look at NBC's busted pilot "Warrior" (Deadline.com); and Bill Lawrence's Doozer Productions has signed a four-year, eight-figure overall deal with Warner Bros. Television, which encompasses its studio-based efforts "Undateable" and "Rush Hour" as well as any future development (Deadline.com).

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - High Noon Entertainment and Farah Films are developing an unscripted series about Green Man Cannabis founder Christian Hageseth (Deadline.com); Reg Rogers and Tzi Ma have both joined the cast of "Hell on Wheels" while Tim Guinee and Byron Mann have been upped to series regulars (Deadline.com); and Rachel Dratch will drop by A&E's "Unforgettable" revival as "a former executive assistant to Barry Madden, an investor accused of swindling his clients out of 20 billion dollars" (EW.com).
