OMI TO PERFORM CHART-TOPPING SUMMER HIT "CHEERLEADER" DURING "AMERICA'S GOT TALENT" AUG. 12 LIVE RESULTS SHOW ON NBC

Omi Joins Previously Announced Special Guest and Season 9 Winner Mat Franco

NEW YORK - August 10, 2015 - Multi-platinum pop star OMI will perform his breakout hit single 'Cheerleader' during the "America's Got Talent" live results show on Wednesday, Aug. 12 (8-9 p.m. ET) from Radio City Music Hall. His breakthrough single has landed at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 for four weeks running and remains in the top five on Billboard's Songs of The Summer, while exceeding 350 million streams on Spotify, surpassing 330 million combined YouTube views and topping the iTunes charts in 55 territories. He is currently at work on his debut album to be released later this year.

It's been a breathtaking ride for the affable singer/songwriter, born Omar Samuel Pasley, who hails from the rural Jamaican parish of Clarendon, located right outside of Kingston. Growing up with a passion for music and art, he met Jamaican music mentor/producer Clifton 'Specialist' Dillon in 2009, and the two formed a special creative relationship, with Dillon setting up OMI with his own studio in Kingston. "Cheerleader" was originally released in 2012, taking off in Jamaica and Hawaii first. In 2014, a cleverly understated reworking of the track produced by Dillon and remixed by Felix Jaehn infused the track with its tropical house sound and helped power the momentum that has made the song a global phenomenon.

As previously announced, "AGT" season 9 winner Mat Franco will also perform in the Aug. 12 results show. Franco currently stars in "Mat Franco: Magic Reinvented Nightly" at the LINQ Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and will star in his own primetime special "Mat Franco's Got Magic," Sep. 17 (9-11 p.m. ET) on NBC.

This fall, "America's Got Talent" hits the road with a live performance tour featuring some of the popular acts from various seasons of the top summer reality series. "America's Got Talent Live: The All-Stars Tour!" will hit 42 cities nationwide.
