MIRANDA'S RIGHTS (NBC, New!) - Katie Lovejoy (The Selection) has set up a potential drama at the Peacock about 28-year-old Miranda Coale, "who six years after a sex scandal upended her life, gets a shot at redemption when she's hired by a group of millennials living and lawyering together in a start-up law firm." John Glenn will also executive produce via his Universal Television-based banner. (THR.com)

RED CIRCLE, THE (CBS, New!) - Brandon Webb and John David Mann's best-selling novel, subtitled "My Life in the Navy SEAL Sniper Corps and How I Trained America's Deadliest Marksmen," is being developed as a drama by the Eye. Said effort is "inspired by Webb's experience serving with SEAL Team 3, Naval Special Warfare Group One Training Detachment sniper cell." Todd Robinson (Lonely Hearts) will pen the script and executive produce alongside Mark Harmon via his CBS Television Studios-based Wings Productions. (THR.com)

SNOWFALL (FX/FXP; W: Eric Amadio & John Singleton; D: John Singleton) - Jill Scott and Lauren London are the latest to be cast in the pilot, a one-hour drama set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it. The story follows three characters on a violent collision course: Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), young street entrepreneur on a quest for power; Gustavo Zapata (Sergio Peris-Mencheta), a Mexican wrestler turned gangster in search of his American dream; and Logan Miller (Billy Magnussen), a prominent family's "black sheep" desperate to escape his father's shadow. The former will play Sharon "Cissy" Saint, "the no-nonsense mother of Franklin"; while London is set as Louise Saint, "Franklin's party-girl aunt." (THR.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Syfy has opted to end its long-running supernatural drama "Haven" after five seasons (TheWrap.com); Will Sasso will recur on "Shameless" as "a big and imposing blue-collar Chicago neighbor of Kev (Steve Howey) and V (Shanola Hampton)" (Deadline.com); Nick Wechsler is bound for NBC's "The Player" as Nick, "the boyfriend of Cassandra (Charity Wakefield), a good guy with morals caught in the web of century-old conspiracy" (Deadline.com); actor Trevor Donovan and producer Garth Ancier are looking to bring Thomas Caplan's Ty Hunter series of novels to the small screen (Deadline.com); Anne Hathaway is attached to star in "The Ambassador's Wife," a limited series based on Jennifer Steil's novel from The Mark Gordon Company and Entertainment One (Deadline.com);

"The Catch" executive producers Jennifer Schuur and Josh Reims have exited the series "over creative differences" with Allan Heinberg eyed as the new showrunner (Deadline.com); Shekhar Kapur is spearheading a TV series about the life of Cleopatra, famous queen of ancient Egypt, for Slingshot Global Media (Deadline.com); Shannon Esper has scored an arc on "Orange Is the New Black" as "a new inmate whose meek ways make her impossible to hate" (Deadline.com); Tembi Locke will recur Syfy's "The Magicians" as Dr. London after guest starring in the pilot (Deadline.com); Adam DiVello's Done and Done Productions has inked a multi-year overall deal with Lionsgate Television (THR.com); Eric Winter is the latest bound for "Secrets & Lies" as Neal Oliver, "the best friend of Eric Warner (Michael Ealy)" (TVLine.com);
