Alfonso Ribeiro Returns with an All-New Season of "Unwrapped 2.0" on Food Network

ALFONSO RIBEIRO RETURNS WITH AN ALL-NEW SEASON OF "UNWRAPPED 2.0" ON FOOD NETWORK

New York - September 22, 2015 - Celebrate the month of Halloween by discovering how some of your favorite tricks and treats are made! Hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro, season two of Unwrapped 2.0 premieres on Saturday, October 10th at 8pm ET/PT on Food Network with two new back-to-back episodes. The new season features everything from classic childhood treats to the latest candy crazes to flavorful munchies you crave. Whether you like your snacks sweet or savory, crispy or gooey, Unwrapped 2.0 offers behind-the-scenes access to get you a front row seat to see how they are made.

Upcoming episodes in the 13 episode season include:

Premiering Saturday, October 10th at 8pm - "Movie Munchies" - SEASON PREMIERE! It is movie munchies madness as host Alfonso Ribeiro goes behind-the-scenes of blockbuster sweets like Dots and Cookie Dough Bites. Then, find out how to add a punch to your sweet tooth with mouth-puckering Sour Straws and San Diego Pretzels' salty Jumbo Soft Pretzel.

Premiering Saturday, October 10th at 8:30pm - "Crunchy" Host Alfonso Ribeiro explores extra-crunchy snacks, like See's Candies peanut brittle and Snak King's crispy Taco Litos. Then, he learns about Peking Noodles' aptly named Crunchy Noodles, and how Primrose Candy Company has perfected the mix of crunch and chew in their Strawberry Bon-Bons.

Premiering Saturday, October 17th at 8pm - "Barbecue Sides" Host Alfonso Ribeiro puts together the perfect backyard barbecue, including Mrs. Freshley's melt-in-your-mouth cupcakes, Mrs. Fisher's perfectly-salted rippled chips, and Mayfield Dairy's creamy banana split ice cream. Then, he learns about Bush Brothers baked beans and their secret family recipe.

Premiering Saturday, October 24th at 8pm - "Can't Eat Just One" Host Alfonso Ribeiro dives into Hot Tamales and their addictive cinnamon snap, Nathan's irresistible chili cheese fries and finds out how Dum Dums lollipops got their name. Finally, he finds out about Bibigo's flavor-packed Mini Wontons.

Premiering Saturday, October 31st at 8pm - "Flavor Infusion" Host Alfonso Ribeiro has the inside information on what makes some treats so tasty, from the iconic Andes Mints to Christie's chocolate chip cookies. Then, see how snacks like Taffy Town's cotton candy taffy and Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine pack so much serious flavor.

Premiering Saturday, November 7th at 8pm - "Savor the Flavor" Join host Alfonso Ribeiro and savor the flavor of some tasty treats, from Eli's scrumptious Bavarian Apple Tart to Necco's classic bite-size Mary Jane. Then, the mystery of the orange-colored, banana-flavored Circus Peanuts is solved, and find out why there's no dip necessary for Snak King's spicy Salsitas.

Premiering Saturday, November 14th at 8pm - "Nostalgic Eats" Host Alfonso Ribeiro takes your taste buds back in time to see how the classic Necco Wafers are made, how the Tasty Kake Krimpet got its shape and name, and why Wise's Barbecue Dipsy Doodles are still a fan favorite. Finally, take a nostalgic trip to the candy store with a look at Charleston Chews.

Alfonso Ribeiro, best known for his role as Carlton Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, is also an established television director, actor and host and voice-over artist. Alfonso made his television debut opposite Ricky Schroder in the long-running sitcom Silver Spoons, making him an instant teen idol. Starting his acting career at the age of eight, Alfonso landed his first starring role in the Broadway musical The Tap Dance Kid, where he was signed to famed music label Island Records. He became an overnight sensation, enamoring the likes of Michael Jackson, who enlisted Alfonso in the infamous Pepsi commercial. After taking time to attend Cal State University, Los Angeles where he earned a Theater Arts education, Alfonso was then approached by Quincy Jones to appear with L.L. Cool J in the series In the House. Alfonso competed and won season 19 of Dancing with the Stars. After finishing in first place, he hosted the country-wide "Dancing with the Stars" tour and is currently the host of America's Funniest Home Videos.
