SHOWTIME(R) SUBSCRIBERS WILL EXPERIENCE ALL FOUR PERSPECTIVES OF "THE AFFAIR" THIS SUNDAY AS THE SECOND EPISODE IS RELEASED EARLY

Golden Globe(R)-Winning Series' Second Episode Will Be Available On SHOWTIME Streaming Service, SHOWTIME ANYTIME(R) And SHOWTIME ON DEMAND(R)

NEW YORK, NY - October 2, 2015 - This Sunday, SHOWTIME will release the second episode of THE AFFAIR early, available exclusively to subscribers on SHOWTIME ANYTIME, SHOWTIME ON DEMAND and through the SHOWTIME streaming service, following the season two premiere on October 4th at 10 p.m. ET/PT. This season, the story of THE AFFAIR will be told separately from four different perspectives, revealing four distinct truths. The first two episodes of the season were written by series creator and executive producer Sarah Treem and directed by executive producer Jeffrey Reiner, with the intent that the episodes would be two halves of a whole. SHOWTIME is releasing the second episode in advance in order to give viewers the opportunity to experience all four points of view - with Noah and Helen's perspectives showcased in the premiere, and Cole and Alison's in the second episode. Subscribers will be able to watch the second episode at 11 p.m. ET on SHOWTIME ANYTIME and through the SHOWTIME stand-alone streaming service, and starting at midnight on SHOWTIME ON DEMAND.

Starring Golden Globe nominee Dominic West (The Wire), Golden Globe winner Ruth Wilson (Luther), Emmy(R) nominee Maura Tierney (ER) and Screen Actors Guild(R) Award nominee Joshua Jackson (Fringe), season two of THE AFFAIR explores the emotional and psychological effects of an affair that destroyed two marriages, and the crime that brings these individuals back together. Ruth Wilson plays Alison, a young woman attempting to move on from tragedy and build a lasting relationship while contending with the judgment of others and her own self-doubt. Her lover Noah (Dominic West) is a burgeoning writer trying to balance the temptations of success, the family he left behind, and the woman he loves. Noah's former wife Helen (Maura Tierney) is attempting to piece her life together while navigating divorce proceedings, care for her children, and her parents' noxious influence. Joshua Jackson plays Cole, Alison's former husband struggling to overcome past heartbreak and start a promising new life. Yet the long-term ramifications of the affair continue to shape these lives, and will lead to an event that changes everything once again. Award-winning playwright and writer/producer Sarah Treem (House of Cards, In Treatment) and Hagai Levi (In Treatment) created the series. Treem serves as executive producer, along with Levi, Anya Epstein (In Treatment) and director Jeffrey Reiner (Friday Night Lights).

SHOWTIME is currently available to subscribers via cable, DBS and telco providers, and as a stand-alone streaming service through Apple(R), Roku(R), Amazon and Google. Consumers can also subscribe to SHOWTIME via Hulu and Sony PlayStation(R) Vue.
