HALLMARK CHANNEL BREAKS THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS(TM) TITLE FOR THE LARGEST DISPLAY OF ILLUMINATED CHRISTMAS TREES

Hallmark Channel officially broke the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the Largest display of illuminated Christmas trees yesterday, with the lighting of 559 Christmas trees in New York City's Herald Square. Candace Cameron Bure, star of the new Hallmark Channel original movie, A Christmas Detour, premiering November 22nd, flipped the switch, brightening the network's colorful, 4,000 square foot long tree maze. In addition, all trees will be donated to the Educational Alliance Boys & Girls Clubs of New York City. The tree maze officially opened to the public yesterday and is one of several festive components of Hallmark Channel's robust marketing push this season.

Countdown to Christmas premiered on October 31st and features 24/7 holiday fare, including 17 new original movie premieres.
