Comedy Central Orders a Third Season of "The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail"
The third season will consist of eight episodes.

COMEDY CENTRAL(R) ORDERS A THIRD SEASON OF "THE MELTDOWN WITH JONAH AND KUMAIL"

Executive Produced by Jonah Ray, Kumail Nanjiani, Emily V. Gordon and Red Hour's Ben Stiller, Debbie Liebling, Stuart Cornfeld and Mike Rosenstein

NEW YORK, November 20, 2015 - Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani's invitation into LA's hottest stand-up show still stands as Comedy Central has renewed the hit series "The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail" for a third season, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Original Programming, Comedy Central. The third season will consist of eight episodes and is executive produced by Ray, Nanjiani, live show producer Emily V. Gordon, and Red Hour's Ben Stiller, Debbie Liebling, Stuart Cornfeld and Mike Rosenstein.

"There continues to be no better way to experience the best, live weekly stand-up show in LA than 'Meltdown,'" said Alterman. "Except for actually being there, of course."

"Third time's a charm!" said Ray, Nanjiani and Gordon.

Shot documentary style at the Nerdist Showroom in the back of Meltdown Comics, Los Angeles' premiere comic book store, "The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail" captures some of the biggest names in comedy as they experiment with new bits onstage and hang out backstage. The second season, directed by Lance Bangs, featured performances by Andy Daly, Fred Armisen, Kate Berlant, Kurt Braunohler, Hannibal Buress, John Early, Brett Gelman, Abbi Jacobson, Ron Funches, Ilana Glazer, Lauren Lapkus, Natasha Leggero, Al Madrigal, Joe Mande, John Mulaney, Aparna Nancherla, Chelsea Peretti, Paul Sheer, Nick Thune and Hampton Yount, among others. The series also features intimate and hilarious backstage moments with comedians and celebrities who stop by just to hang out in the green room. JoAnn Grigioni and Ryan Moran are the Executives in Charge for Comedy Central.
