"MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D." RECRUITS NATALIA CORDOVA-BUCKLEY TO THE SECRET WARRIORS

Natalia Cordova-Buckley ("McFarland, USA") has joined "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." as Elena Rodriguez, a tough, street-wise Colombian woman given Inhuman abilities and based on the character Slingshot from the "Secret Warriors" comic series.

"We announced at San Diego Comic-Con that the Secret Warriors story will be coming to 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' and we're pleased to say that will continue to play out in the second half of our season," said Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. "Natalia embodies both the toughness and the warmth necessary for the role of Elena as we bring another piece of the team to the screen for the first time."

When "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns, Coulson is more determined than ever to get to Gideon Malick and put an end to Hydra once and for all in the aftermath of his trip to Maveth. Meanwhile, Daisy and the team encounter more Inhumans who have powers like they've never seen before, but will they be friends or enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
