SHOTS FIRED (FOX/20th; W: Gina Prince-Bythewood & Reggie Rock Bythewood; D: Gina Prince-Bythewood) - Clare-Hope Ashitey ("Suspects") is the latest to be cast in the event series, which examines the dangerous aftermath of racially charged shootings in a small town in Tennessee. She'll play Kerry Beck, "the wife of Deputy Joshua Beck, who is struggling to keep her family and life together as the media spotlight bears down on her husband." (Deadline.com)


TOAST (ABC/ABCS; W: Greg Grunberg & Scott Foley; D: Gail Mancuso) - Brooks Wheelan ("Saturday Night Live") has been cast in the multi-camera comedy pilot, about engaged couple Max (Jono Kenyon) and Paige (Jerrika Hinton) who, over their wedding rehearsal dinner, have their eclectic family and friends give toasts recalling anecdotes about the couple - but flashbacks reveal that the toasts don't always get it right. He'll play Vince, "an extreme sports enthusiast. An animated and adventurous guy, he is Max's best man and best friend." (Deadline.com)
