ESQUIRE NETWORK GREENLIGHTS SEASON TWO OF HIT SCRIPTED DRAMA "SPOTLESS"

"Spotless" Season Two Pick-Up Comes on the Heels of Esquire Network's Record First Quarter Ratings

LOS ANGELES - April 6, 2016 - Esquire Network today announced the season two pick-up of SPOTLESS, the network's first original scripted series. The announcement follows Esquire delivering significant growth in first quarter 2016, including the network's most watched quarter in its history among A25-54 and total viewers, and second most watched quarter among A18-49.

Premiering to critical acclaim, the dark and irreverent drama from TANDEM Productions (a STUDIOCANAL Company) is executive produced by Emmy(R)and Golden Globe(R)-nominated, Rola Bauer (THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH, CROSSING LINES) and is co-created by BAFTA Award-winner Ed McCardie (SHAMELESS) and Academy(R)Award-winner Corinne Marrinan (CSI). Marc-André Grondin (C.R.A.Z.Y.), Denis Ménochet (INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS), Miranda Raison (24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY) and Brendan Coyle (DOWNTON ABBEY) star in the genre-bending series.

"Esquire Network proudly broke the genre barriers offering a series that combined elements of danger and drama with a sharp satirical edge," said Matt Hanna, Executive Vice President of Original Programming, Esquire Network. "We are thrilled to once again partner with TANDEM Productions and look forward to the wild ride of season two as we continue to gain momentum as a network and reach new heights."

A sexy and bold one-hour drama set in London, SPOTLESS is the story of a troubled man, Jean Bastiere (Grondin) whose life was turned upside down when he was reunited with his outlaw brother, Martin (Ménochet). Forced to confront their dark past, marked by a traumatic and defining childhood event, the brothers quickly found themselves entangled in organized crime lead by mob boss Nelson Clay (Coyle). Jean's crime scene cleaning business was jeopardized alongside his family's future as drugs, death, corruption and violence took over. His seemingly happy marriage to Julie (Raison) was tested when he tried juggling his financial issues with an ongoing affair.

Moral ambiguity fueled an explosive finale when the mob's requests escalated, leaving the Bastiere brothers no choice but to target Nelson's own brother, Victor. After framing Victor for yet another incident of necrophilia, the Bastiere brothers successfully turned the mob's world upside down resulting in a broken alliance. As Julie decides to leave London behind after uncovering her husband's affair, Jean's world continues to unravel as his brother reveals a crucial secret he'd been keeping about their father's death.

No one ever gets away clean.

Esquire Network remains one of the fastest growing networks in cable, including gains of 18% Among A18-49 and 20% among M18-49 for the year in 2015.
