(Albuquerque, NM) Wednesday, May 11, 2016 - As principal photography begins today REELZ announces additions to the cast and crew of Muse Entertainment's original four-hour miniseries The Kennedys-After Camelot. Kristen Hager will play Ted Kennedy's first wife Joan Kennedy and reprising their roles from the Emmy Award(R)-winning miniseries The Kennedys, Diana Hardcastle returns as the formidable Rose Kennedy and Kristin Booth returns as Ethel Kennedy. As previously announced, The Kennedys-After Camelot stars Katie Holmes as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Matthew Perry as Ted Kennedy and Alexander Siddig as Aristotle Onassis.
The production has conducted a vigorous international search for the role of John F. Kennedy Jr. which is almost complete. The search has been narrowed and a final casting announcement will be made soon.
The creative excellence behind The Kennedys-After Camelot continues on the production side under the direction of Jon Cassar who won the Directors Guild of America award for best miniseries with The Kennedys. He is joined by several key crew members from The Kennedys who are reuniting to bring The Kennedys-After Camelot to life. Returning crew members include production designer Rocco Matteo, sound mixer Henry Embry, makeup department head Jordan Samuel and director of photography David Moxness - all of whom earned Emmy Award(R) nominations for their work on The Kennedys with Embry earning a win for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Miniseries or a Movie and Samuel a win for Outstanding Makeup for a Miniseries or a Movie. Also returning are first assistant director Libby Hodgson, casting director Deirdre Bowen, dialect coach John Nelles and writer Stephen Kronish.
Kristen Hager joins the cast as Joan Kennedy. Hager has played roles in TV series Gotham and Masters of Sex but she may be best known for her work in Being Human. She's also had movie roles in Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem and Wanted.
Diana Hardcastle reprises her role as Kennedy family matriarch Rose Kennedy from The Kennedys. Hardcastle is also known for her movie roles in both Best Exotic Marigold Hotel movies, Good Woman and currently The Boy. She is also an accomplished theater actress who recently starred in William Boyd's play The Argument which she performed at Hampstead Theater in London.
Kristin Booth reprises her role as Ethel Kennedy from The Kennedys. Her movie credits include Defendor, This Beautiful City and Foolproof. Booth's television credits include roles in Signed, Sealed, Delivered and Orphan Black.
The Kennedys-After Camelot is based on the New York Times best seller, "After Camelot: Personal History of the Kennedy Family 1968 to the Present" by best-selling author and biographer J. Randy Taraborrelli. Jon Cassar (The Kennedys) and Katie Holmes are directing from scripts by Stephen Kronish (The Kennedys) and Sandra Chwialkowska (Lost Girl). The Kennedys-After Camelot project was brought to producer Muse Entertainment by Keri Selig of Intuition Productions (The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe) who serves as an executive producer. Michael Prupas, Katie Holmes, Matthew Perry, Jon Cassar, Stephen Kronish, Randy Taraborrelli, Evan Tussman, Irene Litinsky and Jonas Prupas also serve as executive producers.
