The criminals profiled in I (ALMOST) GOT AWAY WITH IT evaded justice for years by using their families, fake IDs or force to evade capture. Now, ID is bringing these sleek culprits' stories to a whole new level with a new virtual reality (VR) experience, inviting users to experience a JAILBREAK like never before. Inspired by Peter Gibbs' daring prison escape, this immersive and thrilling VR experience lets users feel the adrenaline rush from behind the cuffs and from the POV of the escapee himself. Attempt to escape the confines of prison with JAILBREAK, launching in advance of the eighth season premiere of I (ALMOST) GOT AWAY WITH IT on Friday, May 13 at 10/9c.

The five-minute JAILBREAK virtual reality experience is brought to life through a partnership with ID, Indigo Productions, Digital Cave Media, FogoMotion, and is powered by Discovery VR. The experience was shot on a six-camera GoPro rig, a three-camera rig with 220-degree lenses, and a Kodak 180-degree rig. JAILBREAK is made available on multiple platforms including Discovery VR iOS and Android apps and Oculus devices. Additionally, a 360-degree video of the experience will be available at ID.com, YouTube, Facebook, and DiscoveryVR.com, where users can use their mouse or arrow keys to navigate their escape.
