OXYGEN MEDIA'S HIT TRUE CRIME SERIES "SNAPPED" CELEBRATES ITS 300th EPISODE WITH A SIX HOUR MARATHON OF THE FRANCHISE'S MOST CHALLENGING CASES

"Snapped" Marathon Airs on Sunday, June 26th at 3PM ET/PT with the 300th Episode premiering at 9PM ET/PT

NEW YORK, NY -- June 20, 2016 -- Oxygen Media will air six-hours of back-to-back episodes of the most complex murder cases that investigators have had to solve in "Snapped" history leading up to the 300th episode of one of television's longest running crime franchises. The marathon begins at 3PM ET/PT on Sunday, June 26th with the 300th episode premiering at 9PM ET/PT.

Each year, approximately 16,000 people are murdered in the United States and 7% of the killers are female. Who are these women and what drives them to kill? "Snapped" profiles the fascinating cases of women accused of murder. Whether the motivation was revenge against a cheating husband, the promise of a hefty insurance payoff, or putting an end to years of abuse, the reasons are as varied as the women themselves. From socialites to secretaries, female killers share one thing in common: at some point, they all snapped.
