FRESH OFF TWO EMMY NOMINATIONS, LOGO GREENLIGHTS "RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE" FOR A NINTH SEASON ALONG WITH NEW ORIGINAL DOCUSERIES "FIRE ISLAND" FROM KELLY RIPA AND MARK CONSUELOS

NEW YORK, NY - July 20, 2016 - Hot off the heels of two Emmy nominations and one of the most watched seasons in the show's history, Logo today announced the season nine renewal of its hit reality series, "RuPaul's Drag Race." Additionally, the network has greenlit docuseries "Fire Island" to premiere in 2017. Both series join the recently announced new reality dating competition series, "Finding Prince Charming," hosted by Lance Bass which will debut on the network this fall.

After scoring the franchise's third Emmy nomination and an unforgettable season that saw year-over-year ratings growth, digital records shattered with the most watched premiere in series history, and highest digital downloads in network history, Mama Ru will return for a ninth season of "RuPaul's Drag Race."*

In its eighth season, the "RuPaul's Drag Race" phenomenon reached new heights. The show's ability to connect with an ever growing popular audience while at the same time receiving rave reviews from major media outlets is a testament to Drag Race's ability to push boundaries creatively and intellectually.

RuPaul will be back to turn up the heat this summer with "RuPaul's All Stars Drag Race" season 2 premiering Thursday, August 25th at 8:00 PM ET/PT on Logo with a queen-sized 90-minute episode.

"RuPaul's Drag Race" is produced by World of Wonder Productions with Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, Steven Corfe, Mandy Salangsang and RuPaul Charles serving as Executive Producers. Pamela Post and Tim Palazzola serve as Executive Producers for Logo.

From Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos' Milojo Productions, "Fire Island" is a docuseries following a group of young, New York City professionals who leave behind the stress of their big city lives and escape to the magical sun-soaked oasis that is Fire Island Pines. The series, like a love letter to "the Pines," highlights the adventures and relationships of friends and lovers as they experience the magic and excitement of the landmark location.

"Fire Island" is executive produced by Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos' Milojo Productions along with Albert Bianchini and Lenid Rolov. Pamela Post and Tim Palazzola serve as Executive Producers and Jen Passovoy serves as Producer for Logo.

"'Fire Island' is an exciting new addition to Logo's slate and perfectly complements the stories our audience craves," said Pamela Post, SVP of Original Programing for Logo. "We're thrilled to give it a home alongside yet another incredible season of intense competition on 'RuPaul's Drag Race.'"

"Season 9 of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' will be bigger, better and more twisted than ever," said Executive Producer RuPaul. "Thank you Logo for continuing to provide a powerful platform for these brave, gorgeous and creative souls to tell their stories. They represent the hopes and dreams of all the outsiders around the world."
