NEW YORK, July 25, 2016 - Comedy Central, the #1 brand in comedy, announced today that comedian and actor David Spade has been named Roast Master for the "Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe." The event (#LoweRoast) will tape at Sony Studios on Saturday, August 27 and premiere on Labor Day at 10:00 P.M. ET/PT.

"Comedy Central asked a bunch of ugly guys to make fun of a good looking guy. I said yes right away. Then I realized I wasn't the good looking guy," said Spade.

The "Comedy Central Roast Of Rob Lowe" will be executive produced by Joel Gallen from Tenth Planet Productions, who also served as Executive Producer and Director of the Comedy Central Roasts of Justin Bieber, James Franco, Charlie Sheen, and Donald Trump, as well as the Emmy(R)-nominated "Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner." Jonas Larsen is the Executive Producer for Comedy Central.
