CHICAGO JUSTICE (NBC) - Monica Barbaro ("UnReal") has joined the cast of the midseason entry as "a well-educated, whip-smart, quick-tongued and sharp-witted Assistant State's Attorney. She can drink beers with the boys or take a night out at the opera. She also is not afraid to take risks and get her hands dirty to get justice." (Deadline.com)
DISJOINTED (Netflix) - Elizabeth Alderfer (Better Off Single) is the latest to be cast in the Kathy Bates-led comedy series. She'll play Olivia, "a budtender at the dispensary who possesses an expert knowledge of her product. She tells it like it is, and looks at the strains they sell like a top chef would look at their menu." (Deadline.com)
ELEMENTARY (CBS) - Owain Yeoman ("The Mentalist") will guest on the show's 100th installment - which "revolves around the murder of a man who was looking for better and more efficient ways to identify what are known as Earth-killer asteroids" - as a boarding school classmate of Sherlock Holmes. (TVLine.com)
HOUSE OF MOORE (ABC) - The Felicity Huffman-produced drama - about "the lives of an iconic fashion family, looking at our beauty-obsessed culture through a darkly comedic lens" - is being redeveloped by the Alphabet and ABC Studios. Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain have signed on as showrunners, where they'll supervise creator Daniel Barnz. We're Not Brothers' Ben Barnz and Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan also continue as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
RAISED BY WOLVES (ABC, New!) - Diablo Cody is looking to import Caitlin and Caroline Moran's U.K. comedy, about Sheila Gable, "a single parent and one tough mother. Joining Sheila are her dad and five offbeat kids as they try to survive on a shoestring budget in a (not) beautiful Midwestern town." The project, which has a script commitment plus penalty, is set up at the Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter executive producing alongside Cody, the Morans, Caroline Leddy and Big Talk Productions' Kenton Allen and Matthew Justice. (Deadline.com)
ROYALS, THE (E!) - Newcomer Toby Sandeman is joining the drama's cast as Sebastian, "a Moroccan prince whose charming disposition could very well be a front for a hidden agenda." (TVLine.com)
SIMPSONS, THE (FOX) - Financial guru Suze Orman, renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and famed screenwriter Robert McKee will drop by the new season as themselves, "serving as a super team of educators at a new school founded by C. Montgomery Burns." (TVLine.com)
UNIT ZERO (ABC, New!) - Toni Collette is set to star in and executive produce a potential action dramedy at the Alphabet about "a brilliant, but unassuming CIA engineer and single mom, Jackie Fink (Collette), as she leads a team of CIA underlings who are thrust into the field as first time spies. Each week, this team of zeroes races against the clock to gather intelligence and solve cases of national security. And they succeed partly because no one in their right mind would ever suspect they were spies." Lindsey Shockley ("Black-ish") will pen the script and executive produce alongside Kenya Barris for ABC Studios. David Gordon Green is attached to direct. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED I SPY PROJECT (FOX, New!) - The network has given a put pilot commitment to a new drama loosely based on the 1965 adventure series "I Spy" about "a professional spy teamed with an enterprising civilian to solve high-stakes cases here and abroad." Writer David Shore and director McG will spearhead the project, which is expected to be a co-production between the former's Sony Pictures Television-based Shore Z Productions and 20th Century Fox Television-based Wonderland Sound and Vision. Also serving as executive producers are Davis Entertainment's John Davis and John Fox; Shore Z's Erin Gunn; and Wonderland's Mary Viola. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED MICHAEL RAUCH PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Michael Rauch ("Royal Pains") has sold a new drama to the Eye about "polar opposite identical twin brothers who duke it out in their personal lives but are at their best teaming up in the courtroom." CBS Television Studios and Universal Television are behind the hour with Nuyorican Productions' Jennifer Lopez; EGTV's Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas; and Daniel A. Thomas also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED PEARLMAN & SERGI PROJECT (Comedy Central, New!) - Zack Pearlman and Julian Sergi are set to star in a potential comedy at the network about "brothers, George and Calvin, (Pearlman and Sergi) who, in rejecting their racist upbringing, flee the Midwest to South Central L.A. and attempt a new life with George's African American girlfriend and her nerdy brother." Andrew Guest will co-write the script alongside said duo with director Payman Benz likewise executive producing for Principato-Young Entertainment. (Deadline.com)
