"Outside your family, your friends are the strongest bonds in your life through thick and thin. By giving these squads a chance at a life changing prize, their friendships will be put to the ultimate test of survival through physically demanding and emotionally charged challenges," said Rod Aissa, Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development, Oxygen Media. "Viewers will see how these relationships are tested, transformed and ultimately strengthened by this experience and the prize. We are excited to partner with Jeff Spangler, Robert LaPlante and the whole Lighthearted Entertainment team on this project which is sure to resonate with our viewers."

"Last Squad Standing" brings together three teams from Detroit, Baltimore and New Jersey for the ultimate squad-on-squad face-off. Each week they battle against each other in various physical challenges, but when a team loses, they must look within their own ranks to determine who will be up for elimination. The members of the winning crew vote for who stays and who goes. The squad that lasts until the end with the most members standing not only claims the title, but also walks away with a grand prize of $100,000. In a house full of hookups, heartbreaks and wild tempers; alliances and allegiances are put to the test as the contestants realize no one is safe from going home.

Alesha Reneé has worked with some of the best in the industry including Spike Lee and HBO.

The Detroit Players

Raised in and around The Motor City, the Detroit Players are a physically dominating group with members Mike, Armond, Charmaine, Nastashia and Nikia. Mike is handsome, charming, ambitious and finds himself in a power struggle with Armond for the attention of the ladies in the house. Armond is a former college football star, accustomed to being the center of attention and considers himself the alpha of the group. Charmaine may be smart and pretty, but she's also uncompromising and has a huge temper. Nastashia is always there to give her crew a reality check when necessary. Nikia is not only a mother to her 7-year old, she's also the mother bear of the group that holds everyone together.

The Empire

The Empire is an eclectic group that hails from Baltimore with members Ciera, Colby, Davrielle, Fred and Ivy. Ciera, an aspiring actress and former pageant queen will do whatever it takes to keep her squad in the lead; even if it includes luring members from other teams into her web to crush them later. Colby, also known as "Starrz," is a rapper who has a past with both Ciera and Ivy, the latter causing some problems for him during the competition. Davrielle is the "ride or die" member of The Empire, even though she is sometimes overlooked amongst the group. Fred is a standup comedian, but his serious side comes out during competition and displays his incredible loyalty to his crew. Ivy thrives off creating drama as she quickly makes a move for a member of another squad as soon as she gets in the house, catching all the teams off-guard.

Jersey Bosses

The Jersey Bosses are fearless, adventurous and tough as nails with members Caroline, Kaitlyn, Jay, Steven and Gia. Caroline is the queen bee, and is always there for her friends no matter what. Kaitlyn is a classic thrill seeker who will try anything once and is constantly pulling her friends into her adventures. Jay is a successful New York City promoter who hooks up his crew with VIP treatment everywhere they go. Steven loves pushing people's buttons, especially Jay, with whom he's had a longstanding feud. Recently single, Gia is the vamp of the group; every guy wants her, and she has a reputation of being a huge flirt.

Last Squad Standing was created and Executive Produced by Lighthearted Entertainment's Rob LaPlante and Jeff Spangler. Trish Gold serving as Executive Producer for Lighthearted Entertainment.
