FARGO (FX) - Scoot McNairy ("Halt and Catch Fire") is bound for the show's third season in a yet-to-be-revealed recurring role. (TVLine.com)
GIRLFRIENDS' GUIDE TO DIVORCE (Bravo) - Daisy Betts ("Chicago Fire") has been tapped for the upcoming season as Gemma, "an eccentric and charismatic billionaire who will become pals with Phoebe." (TVLine.com)
GOOD WIFE, THE (CBS) - Sarah Steele will reprise her role as Eli Gold's (Alan Cumming) smart and outspoken daughter Marissa Gold in the franchise's upcoming spin-off for CBS All Access. Christine Baranski and Cush Jumbo also star in the 10-episode project, set one year after the events of the final episode and centering "around an enormous financial scam that has destroyed the reputation of a young lawyer, while simultaneously wiping out her mentor Diane Lockhart's savings. Forced out of Lockhart & Lee, they join Lucca Quinn at one of Chicago's preeminent law firms." As for Marissa Gold, "she is a brilliant but scattered millennial who begins as Diane Lockhart's secretary, but finds she has a knack for investigating." (Deadline.com)
LAST POLICEMAN, THE (NBC, New!) - Ben H. Winters has landed a put pilot commitment from the Peacock for a small screen take on his novel, "which follows a detective in New Hampshire during the final years of civilization as a catastrophe-level asteroid hurtles toward the planet. Despite the social, political and economic effects of preparing for impact, he keeps his head down and hope alive by solving cases amidst the ever-increasing chaos." Said effort comes from the Sony Pictures Television-based Original Films with Neal Moritz and Pavun Shetty also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, THE (Amazon) - Michael Zegen ("Boardwalk Empire") has booked a role on Amy Sherman-Palladino's drama pilot as Joel, "Midge's (soon-to-be-ex) husband. Joel is self-assured, charming, loves to make people laugh and to be the center of attention. Although he has a good job working for his father's company, his real dream is to be a stand-up comedian. It's his dream but not his destiny. And once he figures that out, he decides he can't face his life, or his wife. He leaves but he never manages to completely untangle himself from Midge." SPACED OUT (NBC, New!) - Adam Sztykiel ("Undateable") has scored a pilot production commitment from the Peacock for a single-camera workplace comedy, "which is set in the world of commercial space travel." Warner Bros. Television-based Doozer Productions is behind the half-hour with the company's Bill Lawrence and Jeff Ingold likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED AUSTIN WINSBERG PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Austin Winsberg ("The Sound of Music Live!") has sold a single-camera comedy to the Eye billed as "a semi-autobiographical look at a dysfunctional family in transition one year after the larger-than-life patriarch has passed away." CBS Television Studios is behind the half-hour with Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum also on board to executive produce. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED BOWMAN & MURRIETA PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Felipe Esparza and Dustin Ybarra are set to star in a potential single-camera comedy at the Alphabet about "three very different adult siblings - two of them played by Esparza and Ybarra - who live under one roof in Boyle Heights, a working-class, predominantly Mexican-American neighborhood of Los Angeles. One's a striver destined to become mayor; one's a troublemaker beloved by the neighborhood; and one's the baby and caretaker, destined to hold the family together." Peter Murrieta and Bobby Bowman penned the half-hour for ABC Studios and will executive produce alongside 3 Arts Entertainment's David Miner and Greg Walter. (Deadline.com)
