Damon Gupton Joins the Cast of "Criminal Minds"

DAMON GUPTON JOINS THE CAST OF "CRIMINAL MINDS"

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Damon Gupton has joined the cast of CRIMINAL MINDS as a series regular. His character will be introduced in this season's eighth episode, on the CBS Television Network.

Gupton will play Special Agent Stephen Walker from the Behavioral Analysis Program which is the counterintelligence division of the FBI. He's a seasoned profiler who will bring his spy-hunting skill set to the BAU.

"Our BAU family is growing," said Erica Messer, Executive Producer/Showrunner. "We're excited to have Damon join the show and work alongside our amazing cast and crew."

Gupton is a graduate of the drama division of The Julliard School, and has a Bachelor's in music education from the University of Michigan. After winning numerous awards and successfully touring the country as a symphony conductor, Gupton turned his attention to acting.

His television credits include starring roles in "The Player," "The Divide," "Prime Suspect" and "Deadline." His recurring roles include "Bates Motel," "Empire," "Rake" and the upcoming series "Goliath."

Gupton's feature film credits include "Whiplash," "La La Land," "This is Forty," "The Last Airbender," "Helen at Rish," "Before the Devil Knows," "You're Dead," "Unfaithful" and "The Loretta Claiborne Story."

CRIMINAL MINDS stars Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook, Aisha Tyler, Kirsten Vangsness and Adam Rodriguez. It is produced by ABC Studios in association with CBS Television Studios.
