Original Scripted Series "Mary Kills People" Comes to Lifetime
The six-episode series stars Caroline Dhavernas as a doctor who helps people in need end their lives with dignity.

PRODUCED WITH ENTERTAINMENT ONE AND CAMERON PICTURES, ALL SIX EPISODES ARE DIRECTED BY HOLLY DALE SERIES TO BE PAIRED WITH "UNREAL" FOR 2017 DEBUT

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 13, 2016) - Lifetime has commissioned six, one-hour episodes of the darkly comedic drama series, Mary Kills People, by global independent studio Entertainment One (eOne) and Cameron Pictures, Inc. Created by Tara Armstrong, Mary Kills People, stars Caroline Dhavernas (Hannibal) as a doctor who helps people in need end their lives with dignity. The series also stars Jay Ryan (Top of the Lake), Richard Short (Vinyl), Lyriq Bent (The Book of Negroes), Greg Bryk (Bitten),and Charlotte Sullivan (Rookie Blue). As announced today by Liz Gateley, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming for Lifetime, the series will bow on Lifetime in 2017 with the Emmy Award-nominated and Peabody Award-winning UnREAL.

Single mother Mary Harris (Dhavernas) is an ER doctor by day, but by night, she and her partner, a former plastic surgeon, moonlight as underground angels of death and help terminally ill patients slip away on their own terms. So far Mary has managed to stay under the radar; but death is hot, business is booming, and her double life is getting complicated. When her world starts to unravel, Mary realizes she's going to have to fight dirty if she's going to stay in the killing game.

Mary Kills People is produced by eOne and Cameron Pictures in association with Corus Entertainment. The series is executive produced by Tassie Cameron (Ten Days in The Valley, Rookie Blue), Amy Cameron (The Book of Negroes), Jocelyn Hamilton (Private Eyes) and Tecca Crosby (Private Eyes). Co-Executive Producer Holly Dale (The Americans) directs season one in its entirety. Tara Armstrong (Private Eyes) created the series and is Co-Executive Producer and writer. Additional writers include Marsha Greene (Private Eyes) , Sherry White (Rookie Blue) and Mike Goldbach (Down a Dark Hall).
